At Soundcheck Rock Academy, we help students grow as vocalists by creating a supportive and engaging space to learn. Your goals and musical interests shape the direction of your lessons, and we encourage you to stay curious and involved every step of the way. For those interested, band rehearsals and live performances are a big part of the experience, and this gives you the chance to apply what you’ve learned and connect with other musicians. Whether you’re hoping to join a choir, compete in MTNA, audition for college, or just have fun singing, we are here to help.

Kids and Adults are Welcome
Soundcheck Rock Academy welcomes both pre-college and adult vocalists. Our student community includes beginners, experienced singers, and everyone in between. Younger students start by learning how the voice works, how to breathe properly, and how to sing with clarity and control. We teach sight reading and foundational music skills that will stay with them, even if they later shift to a different instrument or musical path.
Adults are just as much a part of our voice program. Some come in with years of experience, while others are trying lessons for the first time. Either way, we’re here to help you grow. You don’t need to be confident yet. You might even believe you can’t carry a tune. That’s completely fine. We’ll meet you where you are, and we’ll work with your interests, goals, and musical taste to help you make real progress.
Learn Different Techniques and Genres
You’ll have the chance to explore a wide range of vocal styles. Our instructors have trained and performed in everything from musical theater and classic rock to jazz, pop, and indie. If you’re curious about how to sing with more strength, expand your chest voice, or learn to belt, we’ll guide you through exercises that build those skills gradually and safely.
We also work with students who want to add character to their voice. If your favorite artists use breathy phrases, gritty textures, or dynamic shifts in tone, we’ll show you how to develop those sounds in a way that fits your vocal range. Students often work on onsets, vowel shaping, twang, and resonance balancing to develop more stylistic control.
Whether you’re refining embellishments like runs and arpeggios or simply shaping your own personal style, we’ll help you get there with technique that supports long-term singing health and improvement.
The Best Voice Program For Soloists, Hobbyists, and Bandmates

Our teachers bring vocal experience (from studio work, live shows, and more), a supportive approach, and pro techniques to every lesson. You’ll gain the structure, guidance, and motivation to grow as a confident and expressive singer in a variety of musical settings.
